Heroes, The Line

heroes-season-2-cast-promo-1 Well, last night we received another episode of Heroes.  I have to say, I am getting a little tired of the story line in Heroes.  I will continue to watch it, but they had better have something good up their sleeve and they better have it soon.  To begin the episode we find Suresh doing tests on Monica who of course has adaptive muscle mimicking.  Bob then instructs Suresh to inject her with a strain of the virus which he refuses to do and then destroys all the vials.  Yawwwinnnggg....yeah I know..so far so boring right...yep! We we also begin the episode with Claire's story.  She is trying out for cheerleading but the girl in charge does not seem to like her very much and basically tells her to take a hike.  To make a long story short, Claire and Wes decide to pull a prank on her to humiliate her.  It was a super lame prank.  He basically flies in wearing a mask and drops Claire from a height to make her appear dead.  Of course she heals herself but the cheerleader tells the cops and she looks as though she has gone crazy and since she was drunk she gets kicked off the squad and arrested.  Now Claire is officially on the squad.

Speaking of Claire, we get to see her Father interrogate Ivan (which is apparently why they went to the Ukraine) about the remaining paintings done by Isaac.  We find out that Ivan is actually Mr. Bennett's mentor and taught him everything he knows.  Well, unfortunately, he taught him all to well and Bennett knows that Ivan must die if he is to escape unnoticed.  Bennett shoots him after using threats of memory erasing to get his information.  Finally we get to see the paintings but it is nothing very revealing from what I could see (there was one with a sword fight between Kensei and Hiro).

normal_NUP_109349_0190 Kensei and Hiro rescue the girls father from White Beard and try to destroy some guns that the father made for the tyrant (who plans to over throw the emperor no less).  On their escape Hiro teleports himself and the girl away to rescue her.  She figures out that he is the one who has actually done all the things for her and that he was the one in the Cherry Blossom field.  They kiss....but look...Kensei lies in wait.  Kensei sees this and is extremely mad to say the least..he gives them all up to white beard and this is where their scene ends.

Syler's story is always a little more interesting.  He, Maya and Alejandro make it to the US NUP_109597_0286 Border only to be met by some locals defending the border and Syler convinces Maya to use her power to kill them and escape.  Alejandro was not happy about this at all...Chill out Al, Syler knows what he is doing.  The 2 then get in a fist fight in which Maya breaks up and then Syler spills the beans about his plans to Alejandro...the only problem is that Alejandro can't understand English...Syler says he plans to kill him and Maya and take their powers...Followed by typical evil guy Syler smirk.

Meanwhile, Peter and his girlfriend (kill her off already) travel to Montreal in pursuit of his future (from what they saw in the painting).  He finds a note that says Peter and it is from someone named Adam (could it be the same Adam we saw on the file folder Bob was holding and he claimed was a great threat???? Probably!). At this point, they are transported to 2008 where New York is under quarantine and 93% of the worlds population is dead....Ok...OK..I get it...this is this years "nuclear bomb".  Something that is in the future that the Heroes have to stop.  Ok...Season 1 regurgitated.  Ok, well atleast the ending was interesting.  But did Peter travel there because he has time traveling capabilities from Hiro or did Matt Parkman's dad (the nightmare man) create an illusion around them.  Traveling to the future is my guess because I think the nightmare man's illusions are created from your fears so really you create the nightmare yourself, he just facilitates it.  This would not be a specific fear of Peter's so he probably is actually in the future.

Well, Next weeks episode definitely looks a little more interesting....For their sake I hope it is!!!

Dead Fantasy I

OK, Ok, I know...this is not a TV show. But Roy, a friend of mine, directed me to this link of Dead Fantasy I. Havn't you always wanted to see the Dead or Alive girls duke it out with the Final Fantasy Girls (I know I have :) !!) The guy who made this is an animator and made this himself...I give him MAD props. Enjoy

Grey's Anatomy

greys-anatomy-season-4-wallpaper-small So, last night's episode was a little dry for me. With Halloween around the corner I was hoping for a little more of the crazies running around the hospital rather than the typical love drama they have going. The only thing that was remotely interesting, surgically speaking, was a man came into the hospital wanting his left foot amputated because it didn't "belong" to him, even though medically speaking, it was perfectly healthy. Taking matters into his own hands he manages to find a chain saw lying around from another patient that came in with a cut off thumb and begins to saw off his foot, leading to his ultimate wish, to have it amputated. That was the end of that, no explanation. Moving on, Meredith brings her mother's ashes, that has been stashed in her closet, to work in order to put her to "rest" and out of her life. Along the way, she manages to hustle up some surgeons, nurses, and an OR etc...to help Dr. Sloan "create" some ears for a kid, pro-bono. Dr. Yang does a great job getting on the NEW cardio surgeon's "good side," NOT. Once again, she is her rude and cold self and has a long road to "recovery" with the new doctor, Dr. Erica Hahn. A bunch of smiles and loving looks were seen between George and Izzy, but nothing is final at this point. Alex receives a surprise visit by Eva and they finally become intimate with eachother, only to lose eachother again. Is this for good, who knows. :) Shepherd/McDreamy is now "back on the market" and the women are all out for the hunt. Good hunting, ladies. Finally, the episode concludes with Meredith and the Chief washing her mother's ashes down a surgical sink; the only place Meredith knew she'd be happy. "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust."

24 Season 7 Trailer

Well, the trailer for season 7 of 24 was released yesterday.  All I have to say is "WOW".  This season seems even more "big budget" that season 6.  Tony is back as has been previously reported, but the twist is that he is this years bad guy...or is he (we know how the 24 writers always twist everything around)????

From what I could gather from the trailer, CTU is no longer around.  It has probably been disbanded because of certain tactics which Jack Bauer seems to be on trial for (torture and what not). Jack starts out by saying that he regrets nothing that he has done (to Red from that 70's show no less).  There then is a threat reported and he is briefed about the possbile attack.  Seems to be a Live Free or Die Hard type plot with the whole technological attack on the US's infrastructure and powergrids. Tony is introduced as the bad guy and says "there is nothing you or the FBI can do...".

Well, I certainly cannot wait until January now....Enjoy!!
(For some reason, the trailer is not visible in Firefox.  Please view with IE or goto www.24trailer.com, thanks)

The Office, Season 2

office2 Well, I have just finished watching the boxed set for The Office season 2 .   I must say that I was highly impressed and entertained.  This has to be one of the funniest seasons of television that I have ever watched.  There are 22 episodes in this season coming in at about 22 mins each.  This is a pretty good deal for $23.99.  Season one however I would recommend finding online as it is $19.99 and only has 6 episodes.  I have even seen season 1 and 2 for as much as $39.99 each at retail locations.

This season focuses a lot on Pam and Jim's relationship; especially the last half of the season. You will still receive your fair dose of Jim's pranks against Dwight as well as all of Michael's bad jokes and poor taste.  One of my favorite moments is from an episode entitled "Casino Night" where Jim tells Dwight that he does well at roulette because he can control small objects with his mind.  Dwight, not believing him, asks for a demonstration..."move that coat rack".  Of course the coat rack begins to move and Pam winks at Jim and you know that she is in on the joke.  Dwight responds with a puzzled face and "oh my God"!

The following is a list of episodes in Season 2.  You can find a description of each episode by visiting the TV.com Episode Guide.

  1. The Dundies
  2. Sexual Harassment
  3. Office Olympics
  4. The Fire
  5. Halloween
  6. The Fight
  7. The Client
  8. Performance Review
  9. Email Surveillance
  10. Christmas Party
  11. Booze Cruise
  12. The Injury
  13. The Secret
  14. The Carpet

  17. Dwight's Speech
  18. Take Your Daughter to Work Day
  19. Michael's Birthday
  20. Drug Testing
  21. Conflict Resolution

Casino Night

I also recommend watching the webisodes at NBC's website.  These will fill in the gaps between season 2 and 3.

Prison Break, 10/22/07

pbs3chrisvance Well tonight, we got to meet a new character in Sona. Some foreign (Australian maybe) guy who claims to know Whistler and says that he saw him with the ambassador in Belize (I think that's what he said, it was a little hard to understand). This puts a new spin on Whistlers story if it is in fact true. Why the guy was put into Sona is still unknown. Lincoln and Whistler's girlfriend try to create a getaway plan and get caught by the police while scouting some roads around the prison. They decide to plan an escape via the beach. Lincoln puts something in a cooler and buries it...Now can someone tell me why he showed Sofia what was in the box but not the audience? Is this Lost?? Are they trying to create intrigue?? What is going on?? They did the same thing with Sarah's head in the box even though everyone knew what it was anyway. I am sure that what is in the cooler is a just couple of the self propelled jet type devices that you hold onto for traveling underwater. They are used for scuba diving I believe.

Oh yeah, and by the way Michael got shot at in this episode. Man if he would have gotten hit that would have made things far more interesting. Oh and when he came back to the cell after it had been locked, he seems extremely distraught that he could not reach the cord to the microwave with his arm...Try your leg Michael, or get a plunger....or something...c'mon!!

All in all the episode was alright. I don't know why they don't go down into the sewers everyday and go about 100 to 200 yards down and start tunneling towards the surface of that field or wherever they can get to. Whistler was down there for so long he must know his way around. Oh well, we have a 2 week wait and then will receive a 2 hour episode.

Heroes, Elle premiered

Well, last night we finally got to meet Elle, Kristen Bell's Character. Turns out she is seemingly a bad guy(girl) with the ability to throw lighting/electricity and is probably the source from which Peter acquired this ability. So, who is her dad...Suresh's boss???? The creator of the show has stated that her character was raised her whole life in the company. I definitely cannot wait to see more of her. As for Peter, he is finally starting to realize some of his other powers which he seems to have forgotten how to use or that he even had. He paints his near future and notices that the street signs are in French. Since he opened the box and found a ticket to Montreal, it is obvious what he is to do next. Hiro continues his journey with Kensei while Ando tries to decipher the scripts left in the hilt of the samurai sword. Micah helps his cousin Monica realize her abilities which seem to be muscle mimicing or copycating as it was put(I don't even pay attention to this storyline quite frankly). Matt and Nathan, trying to help Molly, goto find Matt's father who appears to be a nice guy at first but the looks were deceiving. He shows the evolved nature of Matt's mind reading capabilities and leaves Matt and Nathan for dead basically. He creates a vail of illusion around them to make it appear as if they were somewhere they were not. It seems as though these environments were feeding on their fears. I guess this is why Molly calls him the nightmare man. We didn't see Claire and her boyfriend, but we did see Mr. Bennett and the Haitian speak with Suresh. There was really no story building with their story in this ep. Did you see them in Russia??? did they even try with that green screen??? As for Syler, Maya and Alejandro I have no idea. We didn't get to see them this week.

It seems that they are trying to tell to many story lines at once for a 42 min episode. The paths need to start crossing more so that it won't seem like so many separate stories. The Matt Parkman and Peter stories seem to be the most interesting so far...can't wait to see Montreal.
Don't forget to check out the graphic Heroes novels which kind of fill in the gaps between the episodes.
